There are plenty places to park in Edinburgh but on-street parking is limited. If you do need to park in the City Centre, we’d advise planning where you’d like to park in advance. Although driving around Edinburgh isn’t difficult, there are many one-way and pedestrian only streets. Best to plan ahead to make the experience more pleasant!
If you are heading to Edinburgh Castle or to the Royal Mile, it is worth noting there is no public parking at the castle. The closest car park to the castle and Royal Mile is named Castle Terrance (EH1 2EN) and is a multi-storey carpark. There will be an hourly charge to park your hire car.
If you are looking to climb Arthur's Seat and see incredible views of Edinburgh and East Lothian, then you are best parking at Holyrood Road (EH8 9UL) multi-storey. This will give you easy access to Holyrood Park.
Once you’ve picked up your rental car from one of our Edinburgh locations, you’ll be excited to get out and explore the area.

You only need to drive a few miles from Edinburgh city centre, you’ll find a wonderful seaside suburb. The perfect spot for some shopping, dining and a breath of fresh air.
