If you are arriving at the airport, our car rental branch is only five minutes away. Our dedicated shuttle bus will collect you from Terminal 1, 2 or 3 when you arrive at the airport and drop you off at our front door so you can quickly and easily collect your rental car.
If you are arriving at the branch via Manchester tram service, we are only a short six-minute walk from Shadowmoss station and a nine-minute walk from Peel Hall station.
Once you’ve picked up your hire car up from one of our Manchester branch, you’ll be looking forward to exploring the area.

Based at the Salford Quays (8 The Quays, M50 3AZ) in Greater Manchester, it is easy to get to and, once you have been to a show or explored a gallery, you can conveniently visit other parts of The Quays (M50 3UB), with thriving restaurants, a cinema and plenty of entertainment.

Our hire prices are inclusive of insurance, so you don’t need to find insurance for your hire car. There is, however, an insurance excess of £1,000 to pay if the car is damaged on your journey. You can purchase our collision damage waiver and add it to your booking if you would prefer to reduce the excess amount for your travels.
Prefer to share the driving when you hire? You can add up to three additional drivers onto your booking when you hire from Arnold Clark Manchester. At only £15 per day, it can make your journey a little less tiresome. Any extra drivers will be covered by the same insurance as the main driver, giving you added peace of mind.
Driving your hire car in Manchester won’t be too difficult, but it can be busy with traffic and get quite congested, particularly the city centre which has some one-way streets to navigate. Driving into an unfamiliar city can be daunting, especially knowing where to park once you are there.
Within the Manchester area, there are several different parking options to suit your needs. Whether you are looking for multi-storey car parks or street parking, you’ll find a range of options that’ll suit you. Free parking is limited, but you might find some areas dotted throughout the city. Usually, hot spots will be busy at peak times so, if you are looking to keep parking expenses low, it is best to do your research if you can.
If you are looking for central parking to explore the city centre, you’ll find over 600 parking spaces at a multi-storey car park on Lower Mosley Street. You can leave your hire car there for up to 24 hours if you are planning a big city adventure. There will be an hourly charge to park your rental car in this carpark.

One-way hire is available to and from our Manchester branch, meaning you can pick up from Manchester and drop off at any another Arnold Clark Rental location or vice versa. There is a small charge of £50 which will be added onto your booking for this service.
If you are looking to hire from Arnold Clark, you can easily start the booking process online. Start by entering the location(s) you’d like to collect and return your hire car from/to, along with the dates and times of your booking. You can then select which vehicle will suit you best and look at all the prices. Simply book then and there if you find one suitable.

UK drivers are required to bring the card part of their driving licence, a utility bill dated within the last three months as proof of address, plus their DVLA check code.
EU licence holders not residing in the UK must bring a domestic driving licence and either a passport or ID card.
Drivers from outside the EU are required to bring a valid domestic driving licence with an English translation as well as their passport.

Insurance is included when you hire a car from Arnold Clark, however, there is a flat excess of £1,000 that must be paid in the event of damage to the vehicle. You can reduce this excess to £0 when you include the Collision Damage Waiver to your booking, you’ll find this optional extra when booking your rental car.
