Scotland’s busiest airport is located 8 miles outside Edinburgh City Centre. Our rental branch is just outside the airport terminal. Don’t let the fact we aren’t inside the airport building put you off. Our dedicated shuttle bus will be there to pick you up from outside the airport terminal and drop you off at our front door so you can easily collect your rental car. We’ll also drop you back off at the airport terminal building when you come to return your hire car too!
If you are travelling to the Scotland but Edinburgh doesn’t suit your plans. You can always collect your rental car from our branch at Glasgow Airport or even Inverness Airport.
Reviews
Here's what some of our customers think about our Edinburgh branches:
If you are arriving at Edinburgh Airport and eager to get out and explore Scotland’s Capital and beyond, we’ll make sure your car hire collection is as quick and easy as possible.
We’ll get you checked in; introduce you to your rental car, make sure you are comfortable with controls and then your road trip can begin!
Checked your flight times and they don’t match up with our opening hours? Don’t worry, we can provide an out of hours collection service. Just be sure to contact the branch and arrange this in advance. Check out Edinburgh Airport car hire procedures for more details.
When you collect your hire car from Edinburgh Airport it gives you easy access to the M8 Motorway which lets you get a quick start on your road trip around Scotland.
Travelling from Edinburgh to St Andrew’s is a fantastic day trip option once you’ve hired a car. We’d recommend going the coastal route via the A915 so you can take in those scenic coastal views. With St Andrew’s known as the ‘home of golf’, you’ll want to check out the oldest golf course in the world. It is also worth visiting St Andrew’s Cathedral and taking a walk around St Andrew’s University.
It’ll take you roughly one hour to travel in off-peak traffic, to Glasgow from Edinburgh via the M8 Motorway. There is a lot to see and do in Glasgow; visit the Botanic Gardens, the Charles Rennie Mackintosh Gallery and Museum or the Glasgow Science Centre. It is a city packed full of entertainment, arts and fun. You might even fancy staying over!
This trip will likely take a full day and even then, you’ll want to spend more time in Glen Coe than the time it takes traveling to it. It’ll take you roughly two and half hours in normal traffic to get there. Enjoy this moment in your hire car, surrounding yourself with iconic mountains, stunning lochs and magical waterfalls.
