Morag the highland cow, along with her three pals Hamish, Heather and Archie, have been hoofing it up and down the country since 2016 as part of VisitScotland’s innovative tourism strategy. The cows have been spotted at various events, festivals and tourist hot spots across Scotland. From art galleries and wildlife parks to mixing with royalty at the highland games, these bovine beauties are really making their mark.
Here’s Arnold Clark Car & Van Rental giving Morag the highland cow her annual makeover, ahead of what’s set to be a busy summer.
Rounding up the herd are the specially trained ‘Coo-visers’ who are on-hand to make sure the cows are behaving themselves when interacting with the public. Morag, Hamish, Archie and Heather are a hit with visitors and locals who are desperate to capture the perfect #coovan selfie.
The friendly fleet’s popularity has gained them celebrity status, so it’s important that they look their best at all times. With a hectic summer schedule ahead, we thought that they needed some TLC.
As part of Arnold Clark Car & Van Rental’s work with VisitScotland as patron sponsors of the Scottish Tourism Alliance, we were there to provide our services and expertise to make sure the cows were camera-ready.
Arnold Clark Car & Van Rental is dedicated to improving the tourism industry in Scotland, and the cows are just a small part of the work that we do in partnership with VisitScotland. We’re committed to spreading the word and putting Scotland on the map as a fantastic place to travel and visit.
Jeffrey Clark, General Manager of Arnold Clark Car & Van Rental, said: ‘We’re delighted to continue our partnership with VisitScotland and help with the Highland Coo Van initiative. Not only is it great fun, it helps us with our ongoing pledge of helping visitors experience the best that Scotland has to offer.’
