Arnold Clark Car & Van Rental were delighted to welcome operators from the travel and tourism industries to the Innovation Centre.
Names such as the Scottish Tourism Alliance, Visit Scotland, Celtic Legend, Nordic Visitor and Wilderness Scotland attended last week's event, where they learned about the future of the automotive industry.
After a £5 million investment, the Arnold Clark Innovation Centre opened last year on Dumbarton Road in Glasgow’s West End with the aim of educating visitors about the benefits of alternative fuel vehicles and why they are becoming so important.
There are more than 60 vehicles on site available to test-drive, from plug-in and self-charging hybrids to fully electric vehicles.
As well as our two managers, there is a team of dedicated Innovation Centre product geniuses working at the centre. They all specialise in AFVs and are there to help customers on their journey towards electric.
Robin Clements, Corporate UK Sales Manager at Arnold Clark Car & Van Rental, was delighted to help provide information to those who may be thinking about switching to electric in the future.
He said: ‘I'd like to say a big thank you to everyone that attended our Innovation Centre event.
‘It was great to see everyone, and we're grateful for all the positive feedback. Hopefully, our insight into electrification will help shape the future for you and your customers.’
For those thinking of moving their company towards electric, a business specialist is also available at the Innovation Centre to help them make the most informed choice.
There are no sales at the site, which is specifically an innovation, information, and educational centre.
You can also learn about the different types of charging and generous government tax and grants available if you're thinking of moving to electric.
Catherine Allan from Nordic Visitor, who attended the event, added: 'It was an interesting morning spent learning about electric vehicles from Arnold Clark’s enthusiastic team at their Innovation Centre.
'As well as uncovering the fascinating technological developments happening in this field, we also found out how electric vehicles could work for us in day-to-day life.'
