Arnold Clark Car & Van Rental donation helps support hospice

Arnold Clark Car & Van Rental is delighted to support a local hospice as well as its patients and families.

Through the Arnold Clark Community Fund, we have made a £500 donation to St Luke's Sheffield Hospice.

The hospice helps to look after people over 18 years old from across the Sheffield region, with all kinds of terminal illnesses, including end-stage neurological, heart, kidney and lung conditions, cancer and HIV. Last year, they helped around 1,900 patients.

St Luke's Hospice Community Fundraiser Ellie Matthews thanked Arnold Clark for their generosity.

Ellie, who received a £500 cheque from Amber White, Branch Supervisor of Arnold Clark’s Sheffield Car & Van Rental branch in Burngreave Road, said: “We are so pleased that the work of St Luke’s has been recognised by Arnold Clark.

“As we emerge from the pandemic, we are depending as much as ever on the generosity of the business community and the public to help raise the £7 million needed annually to keep our services going.

“The Arnold Clark team can be assured that every penny of their donation will have a positive impact on the lives of all our patients and their families.”

Arnold Clark launched its first ever Community Fund in March 2021, specifically to provide financial help to community groups and charities that had been significantly affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

A spokesperson for Arnold Clark added: "The team at St Luke's do amazing work, and it's great to be able to support them.

"It's been a challenging few years for everyone, but their work is invaluable. We really appreciate the care and comfort they provide for patients as well as their families."
