The Arnold Clark Car & Van Rental team at Manchester Airport have been collecting donations for a local hospice to help them raise money.
The donations will be used as raffle prizes to be auctioned, with the money raised going towards St Ann’s Hospice as they look to build a new site.
St Ann’s Hospice is a charity that supports patients across Greater Manchester from their three sites in Heald Green, Little Hulton and the Neil Cliffe Centre in Wythenshawe Hospital.
The hospice provides a wide range of support for different people, including care, advice, day sessions, symptom management and therapy.
Only a third of the hospice's funding comes from the NHS so, as a charity, they need to raise £20,000 every day to keep the doors open.
The hospice has been caring for people in Greater Manchester and Cheshire for more than half a century.
However, they are looking to build a new hospice facility in Heald Green that ensures they can continue to deliver first-class care for people in Greater Manchester for generations to come.
Louisa Birkenhead, Rental Operator at our Manchester Airport branch, said: "It's a local charity that means a lot to us.
"My husband's mum has been to the hospice, and they do incredible work."
Susan Mee, National Account Manager at Arnold Clark, has volunteered at St Ann's for 14 years after they provided invaluable end of life care for her mum.
Susan added: "My mum spent her last days in the hospice.
"Their current building is looking very old and tired, and they need money to help towards building a new purpose-built facility."
