Attention all caravan lovers! It’s never too early to start thinking about the spring and summer holidays, especially true if you happen to be a caravan owner. Even if you don’t own a caravan, it might be time to start thinking about the freedoms you could enjoy if you owned one. Make sure to pop in to the SECC for the Scottish Caravan Motorhome and Holiday home show to check the caravans out… and daydream a little of hitting the open road. The show kicks off on Thursday 4th February and is open until Sunday 7th so don’t let Storm Henry deter you from making a trip down to the waterfront to explore.
What is there to see?
Explore a sprawling smorgasbord of caravans and motorhomes from an impressive roster of manufacturers. If you already have your mind set on something specific, you’ll get the chance to compare different models and get the experts’ opinion. If you are an avid tourer, the Caravan Club will be offering free, expert tuition for both first-timers and experienced. The Camping Village will show you an exciting selection of various tents and outdoor supplies, which you could use on your next trip to a scenic spot. There will also be marine goods and tents on display to ensure your holiday home is kitted out for any activity!
What to do
The Holiday Park Village should be on top of your list, especially if you’re planning a big trip this summer. In one area, you will be able explore different parks before choosing which will be the perfect for you and your family (and your caravan!). In the Caravan Club area, you’ll get the chance to drive a motorhome or tow a caravan in the presence of a driving instructor - all you need to do is bring along your driving licence.
The caravans
At the expose, you’ll have a chance to see the newest Ford Terrier M-Sport up close, the Eriba Troll 530GT and the Silverline Motorhome, presented by Adventure Leisure Vehicles. You can also experience the debut of the Weinsberg CaraOne 390QD (by KNAUS Sport & Fun), to name just a few.
For the kids
There’s no need to be concerned about your kids getting bored at the Caravan Show. The organisers have prepared loads of child-friendly activities including face painting, arts and crafts and even a very exciting appearance of some of their favourite superheroes! With all this fun lined up, both you and your family are guaranteed a great weekend.
