Add a refund guarantee to your booking for £10. This allows you to cancel your booking at any time, including up to the start of your hire, and receive a full refund less the £10 refund guarantee fee.

No refund will be provided if you fail to cancel your booking and do not collect your vehicle.

Add an excess waiver to your booking for £15 per day (£20 per day on 9-seaters, executive cars and vans) to avoid insurance excess charges of up to £1,500 in the event of damage to the rental vehicle.

If you opt out of the excess waiver, a standard excess charge of £1,500 applies per incident of damage to the vehicle. We reserve the right to increase the excess with each incident.

For luxury car hire, an excess of £3,000 will be charged for any vehicle damage. This is reducible to £1,000 with a £25 per day excess waiver.

Our excess waiver covers:

• Damage to tyres, bodywork, glass and damage by third party.

Our excess waiver does not cover:

• Lost or damaged keys
• Interior damage
• Damage caused by impact with low-level objects such as bridges or low branches, or damage resulting from failure to take due care and attention to potential hazards.
• Costs following a road traffic accident where the rental vehicle must be recovered from an off-road location and there is no third party involved.
• Costs incurred by putting the wrong type of fuel in the vehicle.

In such instances, the hirer will be responsible for the full costs of repair or replacement.

You may choose to pre-purchase a full tank of fuel at a reduced rate per litre, return the vehicle empty, and we'll do the refilling for you. Any unused fuel will not be refunded.

This can be arranged in branch when you collect your vehicle.

Share the driving by adding up to 4 additional drivers to your booking.

All additional drivers receive the same insurance cover as the main driver and must meet the standard Driver Requirements. Additional drivers cost as little as £15 per day including VAT (£20 per day for luxury car hire) and can be added online at checkout.

Selected branches offer complimentary pick-ups and drop-offs from local train and bus stations. Please speak to your chosen branch in advance to confirm availability.

Need to finish your trip somewhere different?

One-way car and van rentals are available, meaning you can drop off your rental vehicle at another one of our branches and enjoy greater flexibility in your travel plans.

Just request this at the time of booking and it will be added to your total rental cost. Please contact your chosen branch for more details.

Please note that one-way hire is not available for hourly van hire.

Add a satellite navigation (GPS) system to your booking, helping you reach your destination with ease. These are charged at £10 per hire and can be added online at checkout or in branch when you collect your vehicle.

Hire a dash cam for an extra layer of safety during your journey. These are charged at £5 per hire and can be added online at checkout or in branch when you collect your vehicle.

We offer baby and child car seats in various sizes for £5 per day which can be added online at checkout. Children under 12 years of age or under 135cm in height must sit in an appropriate child seat in accordance with UK law.

We cannot guarantee availability of a seat if it has not been booked in advance. Arnold Clark staff are unable to fit child seats into the vehicle; this must be carried out by the hirer. However, we can give you all the information you need to safely fit a child seat to your rental vehicle.
