On the 1st and 2nd June, in Staffordshire, one of the biggest annual county shows will take place. The show comprises family activities, entertaining performances and showcases local produce and crafts.
The Staffordshire show is a landmark outdoor event for the local area as well as the whole of the West Midlands. Some of the many attractions include a motorcycle display show, vintage machinery parade and mounted games, a series of relay and obstacle races carried out on horseback at high speed.
For animal lovers, there will be a Grand Parade of livestock and horses as well as a Parade of Hounds and Beagles and Young farmers’ Floats. The Country Pursuits area of the show includes donkey rides, a ferret roadshow, terrier racing and much more! There is also the exciting Woodfest, which takes place in the Stafford end of the showground, where you can see how the Staffordshire & Birmingham Agricultural Society is carefully restoring the area. There will also be a range of fascinating craft demonstrations as well as useful tips on how to make a woodland barbecue and an oak swill basket. There is even a Harry Potter broom-making class – a must-visit.
Of course, foodies aren’t left behind either – the Prestwood Food Hall has over 50 stands with fresh and packaged food including fresh bread, jams, meats and cheeses. In the Cookery Theatre, you will also find demonstrations by local chefs (for definite times check the show website).
Arnold Clark Car & Van Rental will also be presenting in the show. Be on the lookout for our dual control cars that will help you get your driving licence faster and cheaper. We are also bringing the award-winning Renault Kadjar along. Our staff will be handing out goodie bags and will be ready to chat to anyone who has any questions.
We’ll see you there!
