Additional Services
Arnold Clark Car & Van Rental provide a wide range of additional services that you can add to your booking to make the most of your rental experience. Additional services available include an excess waiver, satellite navigation (GPS) hire, additional drivers, local pick-up and drop-off from selected branches and a wide variety of child car seats.
Excess Waiver
Offering peace of mind, our excess waiver from only £10 per day, will reduce your car hire insurance excess to £0 or van hire insurance to only £100 (the standard excess is £500). If your vehicle is damaged or you are in an accident the full cost is covered by us with no excess for you to pay (£100 for van hire). Ask in branch for more details or Contact Us to add an excess waiver to your booking.
Satellite Navigation (GPS)
Only £10 per day, why not take the hassle out of finding your way around a new city with our reliable Tom Tom Sat Navs. With full fitting and operating demonstration from one of our rental staff, our satellite navigations are easy to use and will help you on your travels without the need of a map.
Additional Drivers
Arrive at your destination fresher by adding an additional driver to your car hire. You can add up to three extra drivers to help share the driving, all will have the same insurance cover as the main driver, and with a one-off charge of £15 per driver rather than a daily rate, it’s cost-effective too.
Pick-up and Drop-off Services
Airport Shuttle Bus
Available from all major Scottish airports and Manchester airport, our shuttle bus service ensures you arrive to collect your car stress-free. Simply call our rental collection office once you arrive at the airport and we will send our shuttle bus to collect you. We will also take you back to the airport once you hire period is over. Local Pick-up
With our local pick-up service, one of our drivers will collect you and bring you to our rental collection office, saving you time and money organising taxis or working out public transport times. This hassle-free service is available depending on availability.
Train Station & Ferry Port Pick-up
If you are arriving by train or ferry, just let us know in advance and we will arrange for one of our drivers to collect you and drive you to our rental collection office where your car will be waiting. Our hassle-free pick-up service is available depending on availability.
One-Way Drop-off Service
We offer a convenient one-way drop-off service to our customers, allowing you to pick-up and drop-off your vehicle at different rental branches within our UK wide network. This one-way drop-off service will incur an additional charge based on the vehicle selected.
Child Car Seats
Children under 135cm or under 12 years of age, are required by UK law to use appropriate child restraints when travelling in cars.
Arnold Clark Car & Van Rental has a large variety of child car seats available to hire at the time of booking or at the time of hire from the pick-up branch, depending on availability.
It is the driver’s legal responsibility to ensure the child is correctly restrained.
